Summary of class discussionThe sentences that best summarize this first half of the chapter are on page 233: "Smoking was never cool. Smokers are cool." These sentences emphasize that projects designed to end the epidemic of teen smoking don't often work because they are targeting the activity--smoking--and not the "cool" people.
